Customer Review: Baby strap wrench only good for baby jobs

I tried to use the strap wrench to loosen a shower head. No luck, the rubber strap was flaking small bits and pieces off, and the spot where I applied the pressure is visibly creased. If I possibly exert more I could snap it. I'll just use it to open smaller items like jar lids.
I have not tried the canpull, but that's a no-brainer, it should work.
Bottom line, for plumbing jobs, invest in a vice grip, pipe wrench, or a higher grade strap wrench.
