this is the replacement for the BHP451 3 speed hammer/drill.... was disappointed that the 451 is no longer avail. but they had transmission problems so this drill is now the replacement. high speed is the same, which is what I used the most...good product feels heavy and is better than the 452 which I sent back.Customer Review: makita

This is my second drill like this, it feels hefty in the hand, has great toque and is easy to control. The lite is usefull. One small improvement would be some system of storing several bits on the unit, but overall a good drill.Customer Review: powerfull

I never thought i would buy a cordless hammer drill because there is no way they could produce enough power to get the job done. Well i was wrong about that. I drilled right through concrete like it was butter. My only complaint is i would still like a little longer battery life but that is lot to ask for when drilling through concrete for hours on end.
