Tools and Hardware Reviews of Bosch PS20-2A 12-Volt Max Lithium-Ion Pocket Driver with 2 BatteriesCustomer Review: Even better Summary: 5 Stars
I received this driver because of a promotion when I bought another PS20 10.8 Volt Model. That driver is already great but besides of running with 10.8 and 12 volt batteries the PS20-2A spins up to 500 rpm`s instead of the 400 rpm`s of the 10.8 Volt model.
While that doesn`t sound to much it is really a great improvement in driving in screws.
These driver are really on of the most handy tool I have owned, I used the bigger cordless driver less and less.
Another big improvement is the "Clic-Change" bit holder, it holds now the bits without a bit holder and it has a magnet.
Customer Review: Excellent general purpose driver Summary: 4 Stars
I'd say this was excellent for around the house use. A more serious DIYer might want something with a little more power, and drilling capability, but for small indoor projects this light tool is much easier to use than the large 18V drill-drivers. It has good torque, quick recharging, and seems solidly built. With the Lithium-Ion batteries, this won't work well outside in colder weather. For that you're better off with larger battery packs and use one while keeping the other inside your coat and swapping as needed.
Customer Review: FANTASTIC tool, but no bits. Here's the SOLUTION:... Summary: 5 Stars
As everyone else has noted, this is a really wonderful tool: light, powerful, and well balanced. This single tool now replaces BOTH my heavyweight DeWalt for big jobs, AND a nimble little Skil 2336-02 iXO 3.6-Volt for tight spaces. [The latter duo have gone to a vacation home.]
That said, the Bosch comes with an annoyingly cheesy cloth case, with an equally annoying Velcro strap inside to secure the driver. But most annoying of all is that it comes with essentially NO BITS.
I naturally looked for a companion set of Bosch bits and rapidly discovered from the valuable Amazon reviews [for which this review is karmic payback] that the quick-change chuck in the "Bosch CC2130 Clic-Change 27-Piece Drilling and Driving Set" DOES NOT FIT the PS20 series!
SOLUTION: For one third the price of the Bosch set, I eventually found the Titan 16048 Quick-Disconnect 48 Piece Drilling and Driving Set in Plastic Case which DOES fit and works very well, and also has about double the number of bits as the Bosch set. I now leave the Titan quick-change chuck permanently installed, and can then pop bits in and out with one hand.
This Titan set really is the perfect (and remarkably cheap) companion to the PS20-2A.
Customer Review: First-Rate Driver Summary: 5 Stars
We use two of them in the production of custom cabinets at our small shop. They're ideal in size (small) and weight (light) for our needs.
Customer Review: For this price you would think... Summary: 2 Stars
You'd think they include a holster which is more useful than the soft box it comes with. I have a holster for my other tools, but this one is a bit small and falls out. The carrying case is a nice touch but not useful on the job.
