I used this tool for a couple of years, disassembling & installing electronic equipment at work, as well as household tasks. It was a big improvement over screwdrivers, that's for sure. About the time the batteries started failing, Bosch, Makita, Milwaukee, and Ryobi came out with their screwdrivers, and I went for the Bosch PS20. Man, what a difference. The smaller 12v Litheon drivers are much lighter, smaller, and at least as powerful as the DW, and the clutch mechanism is much more 'refined' The batteries also last considerably longer. The DW was good in its day, but has been totally outclassed by the competition.Customer Review: Beats Craftsman hands down!

This is the best cordless drill/screwdriver I have ever owned. The construction is top notch, battery life is awesome and durability is second to none!
I have owned several Craftsman drill drivers and of similar capabilities, but their best similar style drill/driver is gutless compared to the torque and battery life of this Dewalt driver.
I also liked the bit lock/release feature of this drill-a feature not found on the Crafstman drivers.
My only wish was that this driver didn't have a built-in work lamp.
You can't go wrong with the purchase of this Dewalt driver.

I'm an Appliance Technician and have owned and worn out stick type screwdrivers by Milwaukee, AEG and the last was a Panasonic. I was always disappointed with the torque of the other units and the length of time the batteries would hold up. While looking for a replacement for the last Panasonic I saw this one here at Toolcrib. After comparing the stats, torque, voltages, etc. I decided to give it a try. After all it cost... ... less than the new 3.7 volt Panasonic. BEST decision I've made in a long time! This tool is tremendous! Two other techs where I work already went and bought one too. I run the tool all week and swap batteries Monday morning. Haven't killed a battery as of yet. The torque is amazing. I will say the tool is quite a bit heavier than the others but the trade off of power and run time makes me not mind carrying the extra weight. I've added a set of drill bits that have hex ends and now I don't need to carry a drill on my truck. This tool is terrific and the price amazing. As a previous reviewer said "It's not a Panasonic." This tool is so light weight and functional! It has helped me out so much in building server racks and loading them up with equipment. Often I am holding heavy equipment over my head and then trying to screw it in. This screwdriver/drill is so light weight I don't get overwhelmed. Also it is much easier to pack and less weight added to my suitcase when flying. It still has some good torque and it can even get very tightly screwed screws out. Especially in tight or cramped places. It has a movable head unlike a normal drill. I can't say enough great things about this drill. The worst thing about it is I could only find it online to buy, no stores carried it, but thats it! THIS DRILL ROCKS!
