Bought it on impulse and now have 3. One at home and one in each of my offices. Powerful enough for most jobs and MUCH lighter than my 14.4 volt Porter cable drill/driver. I'm a full time home inspector ( www.ableinspector.com )and I literally use this every day. I'm now online for a new battery as one is dead and the the other one is losing power, but this is after 6 years of continual daily use.
It strains a bit, but can drive a 2.5" screw into wood, one battery charge lasts me 3 to 4 days of daily use.
Oh - and in 6 years of daily use I have never once lost a bit due to the collar lock system. I'm not sure why others have problems, but I sure don't. Maybe they just need to learn to use the tool better??
I knocked one star off because I feel the batteries could be slightly higher quality. they're not bad, but could be better.
Overall, this is by far the best cordless screwdriver I've ever found. It is real heavy-duty tool for heavy duty use.

I haven't had this screwdriver for very long but I am already overly impressed with it. I am currently refinishing my basement from the ground up and I have used this powerful little screwdriver for just about everything. Lots of torque, long battery life with quick recharge, and very durable. I am not a professional contractor, only a novice however my father is a professional. He carries the Milwaukee cordless screwdriver that is nearly the same as this DeWalt. He has used mine several times to compare the two and has been very impressed with it.
Features his has over mine is the (high and low) adjustment setting on the top of the Milwaukee, a battery read out on the side to indicate the level of battery life left, and a little more shorter in length and slightly lighter in weight (but not by much)
Features on the Dewalt that are better than the Milwaukee, longer battery life, more power, and the top angle head is made of metal and not plastic which makes it a little more durable (even though the bottom half is still plastic). Oh..... my DeWalt was 1/3 of the price as the Milwaukee. Some cons about it that really aren't that bad are the size and weight. I was expecting a much heavier tool when I first opened the box. Because it is very LONG, but the weight balance in it is very very good and is still pretty light weight even after hours of us. And I still haven't run into a situation where I couldn't fit it into a tight spot, however I am sure that time will come.
Over all the best buy for the money and would not trade it for another. Hope to get years of use out of it and maybe even pass it on to my kids someday so I can buy another new one. Hope this helped.

I bought the DW920K-2 in mid October 2003 from Tool Crib. The unit I received works great. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I did not have any of the problems with an out of center shaft. It runs very well with no wobble what so ever, and is a joy to use. In fact I am totally impressed with the tool so far, and I use it a lot. I am a serious woodworker and home do-it-yourselfer, and over the past 10 years I have owned three different SKIL screwdrivers. The Dewalt is in an entirely different category than the SKIL's. It is powerful, much more so than the others. It is smooth, and with the variable speed drive it is very easy to control. The batteries last a good long while, and they re-charge in an hour or less. The extra weight and bulk of the screwdriver and battery have not been a problem for me. I really like the locking collar. I use a small drill chuck with a hex shaft that works really well with the DW920K. The drill chuck locks into the collar, and will not pull out as I retract a drill bit from the hole I just drilled. The price may seem high, compared to some of the other drivers, but the Dewalt is a real industrial grade tool, and it is worth every penny to me. The only down negative is with the forward/reverse switch. My fore finger keeps bumping the switch, not far enough to reverse the driver, but just far enough that it quits running until I push the switch back to the full forward position again. All said, I like this tool a lot, and I would buy it again.Customer Review: Best cordless swcrewdriver on the market

Wow,Great cordless screwdriver. I've been using this Dewalt for over five years and the batteries plus power are still fantastic. Bits are very eazy to change and I never had one fall out. I would give it (6) stars if I could!!!
