Description of Factory-Reconditioned Porter-Cable 9878R 14.4-Volt 1/2-Inch Cordless Drill Kit
This cordless driver/drill from Porter-Cable has a 1/2-inch keyless chuck that is easy to adjust and reacts quickly to the trigger. It offers 360 inch-pounds of maximum torque, a 20-position clutch, and a two-speed gearbox with a maximum speed of 1,450 rotations per minute. There's plenty of power for almost any home-based project, as well as many professional applications. The battery has an extremely tough slide-on attachment design that is almost impervious to wear, and the grip is comfortable and well balanced. We especially like the rubber portions of the grip, which add friction and make it feel more secure in your hand than tools with all plastic grips. It also comes with its own plastic case, a double-ended bit tip, and a diagnostic charger with an LED warning system. Overall, it's relatively lightweight and, in our opinion, as solid as any drill/driver we've used. --Jonathon TudorDrills
