The drill motor seems so be ok. However, the NiCD batteries are NO GOOD.
They do not hold a charge. There is a Nation Wide RECALL on these units.
Call 1-877-231-9239 for help in replacing these parts, charger, and two batteries. By the way, this includes 19 VDC and 21.6 VDC units.
The case is very nice and the extra parts, bits etc. seem to be ok.

I have one of the pre-recall drills which originally came with a 1 hour charger. The manufacturer recalled the charger (batteries would catch on fire while charging) and sent me a replacement 3-5 hour charger. 5 hour recharge times? I'm not impressed. A good company would have eaten the cost to replace whatever necessary to keep the 1 hour charge time.Customer Review: Bang for your bucks

I think the cost of this 19.2 volt drill is cheaper than buying 2 batteries for my 14v drill. The speed is variable by the depression of the trigger which is really helpful for not stripping the screw head. Even though it is not made by Kawasaki but only carries the co. name it is still a good deal. I only purchased it about a month ago but it came in handy for installing our new pvc porch railings..Customer Review: Best for the money!

The best drill "set" for the money. I will buy another when if it breaks. Great quality for the price. Not a "professional" hign impact, heavy duty drill, but what a great drill set for the home user.
