If not, a right-angle attachment such as the Shop Fox D2960 Right Angle Drill Attachment will resolve your occasional low-clearance drama.
I also use it as a 3rd drill when multiple bits are in play. But for regular use, the boring power drills you already own handle better. The funky chuck, and the other flaws mentioned by critical reviewers: slightly annoying...until your remember that it's a pure-bred specialty tool.
